Eamonn Holmes OBE to host inaugural Child of Britain Awards 2022

Date: 23rd June 2022 | By: Seren Global Media

The Child of Britain Awards are fast approaching, and with less than three months to go until the night, preparations are in full swing. The awards are taking place on Friday 24th June at the prestigious JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane and will be a star-studded event with some very special guests in attendance – none more important than our winners.

Winners have been contacted, videos are in production, entertainment is being briefed and production is being finalised, the team are pushing full steam ahead to deliver a memorable occasion for all involved.

A very special night needs a very special host, and today we are excited to unveil that the host of the first Child of Britain Awards will be legendary TV presenter, Eamonn Holmes OBE.

Eamonn is the longest serving breakfast Television Anchor in the world, having presented GMTV, This Morning, Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes on Sky News and now the weekday  breakfast programme on GB News. Being a devoted father of 4, and now a dedicated grandfather, he will be the perfect host to help tell and share our winners’ stories.

Of his involvement, Eamonn said:

“The World is a scary place at the moment and must be more so for children.  These awards are in praise of all those fine young people who will one day grow up to be fine young adults.  They have so many stories to tell and we intend to tell them through these awards.”

Child of Britain Founder, Blanche Sainsbury said:

“It is an honour to be able to work with Eamonn on the Child of Britain Awards in June. We have seen him on our screens for so many years and we know how dedicated he is to his work and his family, so we knew it would be the perfect fit for the night. We are so excited to have him join us for the event.”

The awards are all about recognising amazing achievements of incredible children and young people across Britain, as well as donating vital funds to a charity that supports them, Cash for Kids. We’ll be making more announcements on the awards in coming days and weeks and there is still some time to be part of this very special night.

There are several ways that you can be involved – sponsoring, purchasing tickets or a table, or by donating a prize to our auction. To be a part of the Child of Britain Awards, please contact Ashleigh Kerr on ashleigh@childofbritain.com.
